Joni Laughlin is the Area Director for Southwest Fort Wayne since 2021. She lives in Fort Wayne with her husband, two sons, and two golden doodles. Joni loves Young Life's mission of meeting kids where they're at and coming alongside them in discipleship. Joni also loves watching kids discover the love Jesus has for them regardless of their past as they pivot to living a life that is pleasing to Him.
LEADER
Phil Laughlin lives in Fort Wayne with his wife Joni and their 2 sons Nicholas and Noah. Phil and Joni have been married since 1998. Phil works for the railroad. He enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking/baking, and really likes to BBQ. Phil is involved with Young Life because he wants to make sure Gen Z and Gen Alpha know they matter and are known.

Sophia Wulliman is a college student at Huntington University studying Occupational Therapy. She is passionate about the mission of Young Life and loves being around kids. She also loves to go where they are and seeing them participate in their after school activities.

Nic Laughlin is a recent graduate of Homestead High School where he wrestled and played football. He works for Norfolk Southern Railroad. Nic was born in Cincinnati and has lived in Fort Wayne since 2014. Nic loves Young Life’s mission of meeting kids where they are and building friendships.

Hey y’all! My name is Nicolas Archer and I am a senior at Huntington University. I’m so excited to work with high school kids because I remember being one not too long ago, and all I wanted was an older mentor who I could share life with. My hope and prayer is that God will send me those kids to be that mentor for!

Isabel Habecker is currently a life guard at the YMCA and 19 years old! Isabel was born in Fort Wayne and then moved to northern Michigan while she was in middle and high school, and now is back living in Woodburn with her dad, mom, and sister. In middle and high school she was involved with her local YL, now she wants to be the leader for kids that she had and grow in faith with them! In the winter she loves to be at any ski resort and in the summer she loves to be on the water!

Jason McPherson is an officer with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. He is married to Alisa and dad to two kids, Bennett and Kate. He was born in North Carolina but has lived in the Fort Wayne area for most of his life. Jason is great at screaming kids names at the top of his lungs for laughs in any setting. He is involved with YoungLife as he has always had a passion for youth and walking alongside to lead and guide them in their walk with Christ.

Aeden Ligon is a recent grad of Indiana Wesleyan University. He is currently an athletic trainer at Homestead High School. Aeden is from Kokomo but is now a resident of Fort Wayne and lives with his wife Elizabeth and their puppy Jax. YoungLife’s mission is something Aeden is very passionate about and he is excited to make an impact on kids lives. A fun fact about Aeden is that he used to be a competitive cheerleader while attending IWU.

Thomas Hill is a college student at Liberty University studying Elementary Education. He lives in Fort Wayne with his mom, dad, brother, and sister. Thomas was born and raised in Fort Wayne and loves Young Life's mission of meeting kids where they're at and walking alongside them in discipleship. He is also a swimmer at LU.
